Q: How many Bedrooms?
A: 3

Q: How many does Bracken Crag sleep
A: 5-6. You will find 1 x king size bed plus 1 x day bed in master bedroom.
1 x Double bed in second bedroom.
1 x single bed in small room.

Q: What are check in and out times?
A: Check in 4.00pm – 9.30pm
Check out 10.30am – 11am latest
Late checkout fees apply

Q: Do you have on site parking?
A: No, street parking is free. Craig walk is a very long road.

Q: Is Bracken Crag Wheelchair accessible?
A: Bracken Crag does not have any ground floor living space. It is a first and second floor maisonette with two staircases to living and bedroom accommodation and not suitable for anyone who may struggle with stairs.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Due to respecting our ground floor and next door neighbours, only 1 x small, short haired, well behaved and fully house trained dog is allowed. Dogs must be crate trained for during the night and are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms. They must not be left alone in the apartment. If your dog does not tick each of these boxes, this is probably not the place for you. Damage / fouling charges apply.

Q: Does Bracken Crag have a garden
A: No, Bracken Crag is a first and second floor maisonette. However the Lake District is your garden!!

Q: Is smoking permitted?
A: No. Smoking is not permitted in the property or on the grounds. The front garden belongs to our neighbours and is for your access only. If you wish to smoke you must smoke outside the boundary of the property

Q: Is Bracken Crag suitable for hen / stag parties?
A: No. Families and non-party groups allowed only. Disturbances may result in departure.

Q: Do you have dining / seating area?
A: Yes, Bracken crag has a dining table seating 4/5 in the lounge and a breakfast table seating 4/5 in the kitchen. Two sturdy sofa coffee tables are also in the lounge.

From the North

Leave the M6 at junction 37 and head for Kendal.  Follow signs for Windermere on the A591.  From here follow directions from the South. 

A more beautiful route is to exit the M6 at junction 40, head in the direction of Keswick on the A66 until exiting left, at roundabout, onto the A5091 to Lake Ullswater. Turn right at T junction onto the A592.  Follow this road until eventually arriving at a mini roundabout. Cross straight over towards Bowness.  At the next T junction turn right onto Lake Road and proceed uphill.  Pass the cinema on the left and take the next right turn into Biskey Howe Road.  Turn left into Craig Walk and Bracken Crag (64) is on your left hand side.

From the South

Leave M6 at junction 36 and turn left on A590. Follow signs for Windermere on the A591.  Upon reaching Windermere, take a left turn (Tourist Information on left) down the hill through the one way system.  Leave Windermere and continue to Bowness.  Pass the police station on your left, and then take the second left into Biskey Howe Road.  Turn left again into Craig Walk. Bracken Crag (64) is on the left.

Parking outside the property is free and unrestricted.

From the train station
